We insist on trained and courteous craftsmen installing our buildings. Safety is important. Please ensure that all children and animals are kept away from the working area during installation.
We pride ourselves on our relationship with our customers and would like you to feel able to recommend us. Although it is the customers responsibility to maintain the buildings, please feel free to contact us after the installation and we will be happy to advise you on maintenance and safety issues.
GD Timber Designs do not recommend our stilted playhouses and treehouses for very small children. Although we can supply ladder rails and safety gates and comply to British Safety Standards, it is the customers responsibility to ensure children are safe at all times.
It is your responsibility as parent or guardian to ensure that a child is at a suitable stage of development to use our products and that they remain supervised during play if appropriate. Although only indicative, we recommend that children are a minimum of 4 years old before using our stilted playhouses and treehouses. We accept no responsibility for any accident or injury resulting from misuse of or misadventure with the play equipment.
Although all are buildings are solidly constructed structures and will withstand reasonably heavy use, GD Timber Designs do not accept for excessive mistreatment or use of our timber buildings.
GD Timber Designs use treated timber throughout our buildings to ensure longevity. Treated timber should not require further treatment of any sort during it's lifetime. However, some of our buildings are painted and/or stained with preservative and varnish. As timber is a natural material you should expect splits and shrinkage to occur over time. The customer is advised to carry out regular checks to ensure the security of fastenings and the integrity of the timber. If your product is painted, you may see shrinkage as the timber expands/shrinks with changes in the weather. This is a natural occurrence and we are happy to advise you on maintenance issues.
Should the customer relocate a building at a new or existing premises, we do not accept any liability for the buildings during transit or reinstallation, unless carried out by GD Timber Designs. Quotes are available on request.
The copyright and design rights to all our designs, including drawings supplied to you as a customer or prospective customer remain the property of GD Timber Designs.
